Experts by Experience Panel

As part of the Borough of Sanctuary commitment to welcome, support and celebrate refugees, asylum seekers and vulnerable migrants, the SRCF Experts by Experience panel was formed to inform local decision-making.

Three key aims of the panel:

1. Elevating the voice of asylum seekers, refugees and vulnerable migrants

2. Influencing policy change and local decision-making in Southwark 

3. Building sustainable connections with one another and local stakeholders

Consultations‍

SRCF Experts by Experience have come together to share their insights with:

  • Migrant Health Community Research Network, in partnership with City St George’s, regarding access to healthcare

  • Southwark Council: Borough of Sanctuary action planning meeting, and previously Borough of Sanctuary celebrations

  • Healthwatch Community Southwark, regarding mental health and moving forward

  • The team at SRCF, regarding volunteering and work experience opportunities

  • NHS SE London to record a measles vaccination awareness campaign
