In spring 2022, SRCF was commissioned by Southwark Council to research and write up a report on the impact of the Covid-19 Pandemic on refugee and migrant communities.

The research was led by Ilana Estreich. We spoke to over 100 participants in different groups and settings. We talked about mental and physical health, living conditions, finances, health care and the vaccines. Our conclusion was that refugee communities have additional compounding problems, so tailored support is needed from government and local authorities.

Vaccine amnesty in the UK for undocumented-migrants

Nobody is safe until everybody is safe. The UK government has announced that undocumented migrants can register with their doctors for a vaccine against COVID-19 without fear of being ejected by the Home Office.
